Sandiwa: the pledges are trickling in
The very first post in this weblog was about the task undertaken by SANDIWA to clean up the rivers and creeks of San Jose, Batangas (formerly known as Malaquing Tubig).
It is very heartwarming to note that a number of clan members have opened their hearts (and wallets) for this very worthy cause. Your generosity will go a long way towards ensuring the project's sustainability. My father fondly remembers the days when the water flowing down the creeks was safe enough to drink. My cousins still talk about the summer vacations spent at the Talon. I hope that some day our children's children will be able to say the same thing.
For those based onshore who would like to help, please contact Sr. Emma Alday, president of SANDIWA at (043) 726-2873 or 09162126685. For those based offshore, you may contact me for details on how to effect bank-to-bank transfers.
